M04 – Assessment for Learning: A Growth Mindset Practice (June 25-28)

Almost every interaction with students leads to some kind of assessment. In this module, we’ll explore the technique of “Checking for Understanding,” perhaps the most basic and frequent of monitoring techniques.  Checking for understanding provides just-in-time feedback that allows students to learn and for teachers to modify their practice. Let’s explore the concepts of “A Growth Mindset” and “Checking for Understanding” as they relate to synchronous instruction.
