Professor of French, Chair of World Languages & Literatures
Dr. Nelson completed her doctoral degree at Northwestern University after a lengthy career as a student. Her multiple degrees include a Bachelor’s in Biology, a Bachelor’s in French (both from the University of Utah), a Master’s in French (Middlebury College) and a Political Science Certificate (Institut de Sciences Politique, Paris), as well as various and sundry other studies along the way. Her special area of interest in understanding how students learn new languages and in developing multimedia materials to facilitate learning. She has been a professor at CSUSB since 1995
