3.1 Performance Activities in the Communication ModesWe will use the ACTFL World-Readiness Standards and the NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements to plan performance activities for our online learners that address the communication modes and the communities standards. Before 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 22
3.2 Gradual Release of Responsibility

How can we support our students in becoming independent, lifelong language learners? We’ll look at how we can do this in online environments in particular.Before 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 22

3.3 Performance Assessments

In this section we’ll look at how performance assessments can inform the development of both our peer microteaching learning episode and the lesson we will co-teach to students at CSUSB? We will use an evidence form to observe a Think Aloud from a language teacher who teaches in a blended learning environment.

Together with our collaborative learning group we will consider effective means to keep our online students engaged and learning.

3.6 Synchronous Activity Guide, Screencast-O-Matic Guide, and Think Aloud Procedure
These three guides will help you in the planning and performance of your peer microteaching learning episode and reflective think aloud.

Looking Ahead

In module four we will continue our exploration of formative assessments in the form of checks for understanding. 

Professor Andrea Guillaume will lead us in deepening our understanding of assessment in our second mandatory web conference:  Assessment for Learning: A Growth Mindset Practice.
