Wenching Chiang is currently a Mandarin Chinese teacher at East Hartford Public Schools, teaching students from grades 6-8. With more than 12 years of teaching experience, she is passionate about learning and teaching in compelling language classroom to build Chinese language literacy skills. Strong belief that language acquisition is through listening and reading, she is a Compressible Input and TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) teacher since 2016. She enjoys helping students learning Chinese culture, arts, and history in the language. She lives with her family with two cats and a dog in Connecticut.
