After taking a close at the five assessment platforms, I recommend AAPPL as the assessment platform to evaluate language skills in my high school students.

AAPPL evaluates a range of language skills and can test four modalities, including interpersonal listening and speaking, presentational writing and interpretive listening and reading. This assessment is aligned with the ACTFL World-Readiness Standards, which is a widely recognized framework for measuring language proficiency. The AAPPL Score report shows what students can do in the different modes and provides individualized strategies for progressing along the continuum.

Lastly, AAPPL requires minimal training for the people who will administer the assessment. The platform provides detailed instructions for administrators, and the test format is user-friendly, making it easy to use for educators with minimal training in language assessment.
