Dr. Thana Jarjour, has more than twenty years of teaching experience. She earned the highest honor TASOL certification (Teaching Arabic to Students of Other Languages) and CIT (Certified International Translator) from Education Canada College. She has taught Computer skills and ESL in independent schools; she taught Arabic at StarTalk Summer programs, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Wisconsin. She worked as The Arabic Program Supervisor at CTY Johns Hopkins University for eleven years. She works as an Arabic Language Consultant at The United Nations. She is the Department Lead of the World Languages Department Lead at OESIS Group https://www.oesisgroup.com/ Dr. Thana earned several excellence Awards, including Leadership Excellence Award, The Johns Hopkins University Excellent Teacher Award, and The Highest Honor Award from Education Canada College. Thana has been a keynote speaker on Understanding The Arabic Culture; She also presented at teachers' conferences, including American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and OESIS Conferences. Thana mentored teachers through ACTF Mentoring Program. Dr. Thana worked as Program Lead for STARTALK Students Online Program in summer 2017 and 2018 . Thana has been taking CLASSROAD Courses since 2012 and is thrilled to be helping as The Arabic Language Specialist.
